Getting your hair ready to be dyed
What can you do to get your hair ready to be dyed and how to do it?
A healthy head of hair is essential for successful hair colouring, as this will ensure that you get the desired result without causing any irreparable damage to your hair. If you don’t take good care of your hair before dying it, it’s more likely to become damaged. Neither we nor our clients desire that,
so it’s crucial that you get your hair ready for the dye job, that you’re ready even before the actual colour change, and that you take good care of your hair in general.
Two processes are required to prepare the hair for dyeing without causing any damage:
1. Olaplex treatment
2. Hydra treatment
An Olaplex treatment will build disulfide bonds in the hair, making it more resistant to breakage and damage. Your hair’s strength, natural structure, and shine can all be restored after years of lightening with the Olaplex treatment.
Getting a hydra treatment means your hair will be rehydrated, elastic, and less susceptible to damage from heat and chemicals. The likelihood of getting the intended colour is increased and the likelihood of damage is reduced to minimum when these two treatments are performed prior to the actual dyeing.
A combination of these two treatments may be required to heal severely damaged hair prior to colouring.
Then, you frequently pose these questions to us:
1. When it comes to hair, how many sessions do you need to see results?
2. When will my hair be healthy enough to be dyed again, and how long will that take?
The required number of treatments may vary, depending on the severity of hair damage. Consultations are made after each appointment and treatment to determine the efficacy of the procedure and the overall health of your hair. In some cases, a single session of both treatments is sufficient, whereas in others, additional sessions are required.
The time it takes for your hair to grow back depends heavily on the conditions that caused the damage, as well as the care you provide it at home. It will be easier and faster for the hair to recover from damage caused by blow drying, hair straighteners, and other heat styling tools. Restoration will take more time if the damage was brought on by inexperienced stylists and strong chemicals.
