How to maintain dyed hair?

It is common knowledge that hair dyes and toners eventually fade away, with the rate and degree of fading depending on factors such as your hair’s quality and condition, the frequency with which you wash, and the quality of the treatments you employ. We recommend washing your hair every three to four days to keep the color from fading too quickly.

You need to know how to care for and maintain your color if you want it to look great all the time. We provide you advice that you may use both at home and at the salon.

Hair salon care

1. Top your hair off professionally every four to five weeks with demi colors, which are gentler to your hair since they include nutrients and make your hair lustrous and silky.

TO AVOID
damaging your hair and maybe getting an orange reaction, skip the tried-and-true method of toning with regular hair dye.

2. Do a deep care treatment like Olaplex, Moroccanoil, or a Nano treatment at the salon once a month. Keep in mind that the lighter your hair, the more frequent and intensive salon maintenance treatments it will need.

3. To encourage quicker hair growth, trim off at least an inch (2.5 cm) every two months. If you let your hair grow to its natural length without trimming the ends, it will eventually cease growing. As the hair’s growth cycle slows, it loses its luster, begins to break on its own, and is more susceptible to chemical damage.

At-home care

1. Choose for sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners because sulfate is what slows down the washing time of dyed hair.

2. Use only salon-grade products, with special emphasis on using shampoo and mask that are compatible with one another (i.e., from the same line and made by the same company). Our salon sells all kinds of products.

3. Stay as far away as possible from the hair straightener, hair dryer, and curling wand. Curling or straightening your hair is OK once every 10 days, but doing so more often than that weakens the hair.

4. All of your efforts to maintain your hair’s health will be for naught if you continue to straighten it every other day.
